Our partner school CIAL is located at the heart of Faro, a few minutes on foot from the seafront, the main bus station, and right next to San Antonio road - one of the liveliest districts of the Algarve capital. The school includes 6 fully-equipped classrooms, a computer room with internet access and a language laboratory. Lessons in small groups allow for considerable progress in Portuguese and the availability of teachers and school staff will help you to spend your Portuguese language holiday in the best possible conditions.

Host family
Living in a Portuguese home is central to a language course in Portugal. Homes selected by our partner school offer much more than bed and breakfast. Living in a Portuguese home helps pupils to practise their Portuguese language daily with ease. Rooms are individual and pupils of the same nationality are not placed in the same house. All accommodation is located near the school, 15 to 30 minutes on foot or by public transport. 

Recreation

The monthly programme organized by our partner school includes amongst other things guided tours of museums and other monuments, parties and Saturday morning walks. If you are keen on culture and history don't miss out on the Nossa Senhora da Assução monastery, the cathedral, Nossa Senhora do Carmo church, Sao Francisco church or the Roman ruins near Estoi. If you like nature, you will find Rio Formosa natural park not far from Faro, known for its unique ecosystem and its reserve housing a very beautiful variety of migrant birds. As for beaches: Olhão and Alulferia are located respectively 15 and 30 minutes away from Faro where there are parties (almost) every evening and all night long.
